Michael MacLaren — President
Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts from Ursuline College and a Master in Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University. Following his administrative residency, he served as assistant administrator of a 200-bed private psychiatric hospital and went on to lead turnaround efforts at multiple financially distressed medical and surgical hospitals — returning each to profitability through rigorous accounts receivable management. As an owner or executive of a health maintenance organization, a primary care center, a home health care and staffing company, a management service organization, and a multi-location full-service eye center, Michael built a career around cash flow optimization and receivables recovery. That expertise now drives the results Assurance Health Care Financial Services delivers for our clients every day.
Nikki Breed, CPC — Billing Manager
Nikki has been part of the Assurance Health Care team for over 18 years, bringing more than 15 years of experience as a Certified Professional Coder. She has navigated every major shift in healthcare reimbursement — from ICD-9 to ICD-10, from paper claims to real-time eligibility — and guides both staff and clients through each new development with practical, hands-on expertise.
