Michael MacLaren (CEO)
Michael MacLaren earned a Bachelor of Arts from Ursuline College and a Master in Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University. After completing his residency, Michael was an assistant administrator at a private 200 bed psychiatric hospital. He progressed to become Administrator for several medical/surgical hospitals which were financially troubled due to changes in reimbursement and needed accounts receivable (A/R) solutions. Excelling in A/R management he was able to return the hospitals to profitability. As an owner or executive of: a health maintenance organization, primary care center, home health care/staffing company, management service organization, multi location full service eye center, his focus has been on cash flow and receivables. Michael’s in-depth and detailed knowledge of reimbursement and revenue cycles provides the direction for Assurance Health Care’s team who achieve superior results for the their clients.
Tommy Cooley, Sr. (Partner)
In 1969 he purchased the Collection and Credit Bureau of Fort Walton Beach, which now serves over three hundred health care clients in northwest Florida He has served on the Board of Trustees for Bay Medical Center for eleven years and chaired the hospital board for nine years using his knowledge and understanding of health care accounts receivable management to usher BMC through some very difficult and turbulent times. A visionary whose practical solutions build consensus and goodwill with solid fiscal accountability and results, Tommy’s practical approach and wisdom creates enhanced value for Assurance’s clients. Kathy Daniels (Operations Manager)
Kathy began working for Assurance Healthcare Financial Services as the Operations Manager in July 2017. She brings over 24 years of medical practice experience with the past 18 years focused on medical insurance billing. Kathy is dedicated to her career and is very passionate about improving the company procedures and day-to-day operations by sharing her knowledge, ensuring accuracy, and encouraging communication. In December 2016, Kathy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Florida State University. Kathy is a native to Panama City and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
Nichole Fazzone (Executive Administrative Assistant)
Nichole, growing up as a military brat has traveled a lot but has always made her way back to the beach. She originally pursued a career in early childhood education; shortly after she decided the classroom setting wasn’t for her and set her sights on pursuing campaign work, marketing/business development and office managing. She assumes the position of Executive Administrative Assistant and is the point of contact between all of our clients at Assurance Health Care Financial Services.
